The Macintosh is located on Charleston’s bustling upper King Street and was opened in 2012. Chef Jeremiah Bacon and managing partner Steve Palmer of the Indigo Road Restaurant Group offer a taste of homegrown cuisine through a soulful menu rooted in the spirit of the Southern plate. The restaurant includes a dining room, bar area and open-air back patio complete with a fire pit. Since opening, numerous accolades have been bestowed upon The Macintosh, including James Beard Semifinalist for Best New Restaurant (2012), Best New Restaurants in the US by Esquire Magazine (2012) and 50 Best New Restaurants by Bon Appétit Magazine (2012) amongst others.

Chilewich Bamboo placemats were chosen by the restaurant to complement the comfortable, casual aesthetic of the interior and exterior dining spaces. All Chilewich woven vinyl products contain Microban® antimicrobial protection. Microban® works continuously for the lifetime of the product to inhibit the growth of stain- and odor-causing bacteria, mold and mildew. Chilewich fabrics are GreenGuard® certified, which protects human health and quality of life through the reduction of chemical exposure and improved indoor air quality. All Chilewich woven products are finished in our facility in the USA and are suitable for indoor and outdoor use.
